Underwater support and concreting for the Liefkenshoek Rail Link, a new railway tunnel under the River Scheldt in Antwerp. DCN poured over 40,000m3 of underwater concrete (including 17,000m3 steel fibre concrete) in two layers.
1 low-density layer for the Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) to drill through and 1 steel fibre layer to create a roof above the TBM and to avoid the chance of a blowout. (2010)
